The village of Ratzakli, perched above Kaminia Beach in the south-eastern part of  Kefalonia is perfect for a lazy, rural vacation.  The town finds itself away from the main roads and nestled between pine and olive groves.  As you travel down to the coastline you will find simple homes on cozy streets.

It is here you will enjoy the spectacular views of Kaminia beach where the famous and rare loggerhead Caretta-Caretta turtle resides.  The coast line is one of their main nesting sites and along the beach you will often see places where the turtles have nested.

The beach lends itself also as a child friendly water as the pale sands of the beach slope into shallow calm waters.  Adults will also enjoy the crystal clear waters, as many have stated it was one of the best swimming experiences on the island.
